Semiquaver Music publishes ensemble music for student string orchestras by R. Anne Svendsen. We also promote, and are linked, to other publishers who have published Anne’s work—Latham Music (A Keiser Southern Music Company USA) and Brolga Music (Australia). Anne’s pieces vary in degree of difficulty from elementary through to advanced levels, with particular interest being paid to beginner string orchestra music.

These works are both interesting and musically satisfying for students involved in beginner string orchestras. This early beginner focus is important as it is difficult to find pieces for this level which enable students, especially those who have very limited technical ability, to participate fully within an ensemble.

Performing these pieces provides the student with a positive and exciting experience from which they are able to successfully progress to more technically demanding repertoire.
